Zener diodes are used for voltage regulation, as a Voltage Regulator or Stabilizer, as a Meter Protector and as a Wave Shaper. They can be found wide applications commercially and industrially. The load voltage equals breakdown voltage VZ of the diode. The series resistor limits the current through the diode and drops the excess voltage when the diode is conducting.

What are Small Signal Transistors? MMBT8050 and MMBT8550 are SOT-23 plastic package. There are three terminals which represents base, emitter and collector. For switching and amplifier applications, especially suitable for AF-driver stages and low power output stages.

They are a low voltage high current small signal transistor, designed for class B push-pull audio amplifier and general purpose applications. Collector current up to 600mA; Collector-emitter voltage up to 25V.The MMBT8550 transistor is subdivided into two groups C and D according to its DC current gain.
